Showcasing the work of APDO as the developmental wing of the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches
Since 2012 when the Missionary Diocese was planted on the soil of the Republic of South Sudan, the Church has been working hard for the provision of social services including Education, Justice and Peace building, Socio-economic empowerment, Sexual Gender Base Violence (SGBV/CP) and child protection, Food security and Health services, in addition to propagation of the Great Commission.
From our headquarters in Yambio (Gbudue State in the former Western Equatoria State), with additional offices in Juba and Yei, we serve communities across Greater Equatoria. The Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches (CEEC) reflects the unanimity and singularity of the Apostolic and Patristic Church, while encompassing both Protestant and Catholic traditions.
APDO emerged as the Church's developmental wing to deliver services effectively through strategic planning and community engagement regardless of religious affiliations.
Our strategic plan establishes direction for all sectors of the organization and enhances operational relevance to our mission of holistic community development.
Improving access to education for all, regardless of social class, ethnicity, background or physical disabilities through school construction and teacher training.
Responding to demands for justice, peace and reconciliation through community engagement and trauma healing in conflict-affected areas.
Establishing health programs to improve community health status through mobile clinics and disease prevention initiatives.
Agricultural programs enabling communities to improve agricultural systems for better food production through training and cooperatives.
Reducing Sexual Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and enhancing child protection measures through community education and safe spaces.
